Advice to ManagementAdvice

review tapes more often to find out who is really busy or just not working and saying thier busy. and to see who is working hard.i cant believe some of the people that got employee of the month just by making sure they are working only when in management view.

I have been working at Walmart part-time

    Pros

work with you on your schedule
    flexible

    Cons

compensation is CRAP. They took out all the benefits and compensation that made them a good company. There are no longer full time employees unless you are grandfathered in or work over night. You moved vacation and benefits to 2 years and took out the sunday premium pay. You took the 90 day advancement out and instead of paying people based on experience, you start out everyone the same.
Advancement is a no-go unless you know someone. You are talked to and treated like dirt most of thetime.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees! They deal with the customers everyday and merchandise. they know whats going on. They know what is needed. If you want better employees that actually wanna work. Bring back all the benefits and reconstruct your hiring process. Quit cheating the employees who do all the dirty work and start hiring and promoting people who are going to actually make a difference in the business.

Good part-time job while going to school, but very frustrating at times.

I have been working at Walmart part-time for more than a year

    Pros

There are some nice benefits to look forward to for working for them such as insurance and a discount on products in the store. The scheduling is flexible too for people like me who need it for school, personal obligations, etc.

    Cons

    Lacking good management
    Favoritism among associates
    Don't hire full-time anymore
    Customers can be very rude

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Always listen to your employees. They're just as important as the customers.
