I have been working at Walmart full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Solid, growing Company. Very good job security in a troubled economy. Provides several options for benefits to help match your needs

    Cons

Terrible scheduling, good luck getting two days off in a row; high pressure work load with low pay, high pressure on the associates that perform while letting under performing associates slide.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

have your assistant push under performing associates to pick it up instead of continually riding the over performing associates to pick up the slack. Stocking should not be a super high pressure job. You are losing good employees due to this tactic.

I worked at Walmart full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Management positions pay well. Lots of job security. You will bonus if your store functions correctly.

    Cons

Positions at upper level management few and far between. Hourly wages are below average.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Use some of that profitability to raise your base hourly wages to a liveable level.
