I have been working at Walmart part-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Management is very approachable. They will take the time to listen to you. My schedule is perfect for me right now. It allows me time to care for my dad. Nice, friendly associates.

Cons

Wish I had better more affordable choices for health care.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep saying "Hi" to the associates. It makes us feel like we are part of the team.

I worked at Walmart full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The people were good to work with on a local store level. There was not any single aspect of the job that was overly taxing. The employee discount card was an added bonus.

    Cons

Corporate kept expecting more and more from the hourly associates with less pay and not enough hours or people to adequately complete the tasks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take the ideas that look good on paper and put them into operation in actual stores before implementing them . Most of the ideas would work great if there was enough manpower to make sure they were completed daily but the budget is so tight that the stores cannot do this. There needs to be more of the billions of profits put back into the stores or Wal-Mart will go the way of Woolworths.
