I have been working at Walmart part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Love my co-workers! Team players who make the job worth working.

    Cons

Upper management (including some of the co- and store managers) does not care about the employees. They treat you like you aren't a person, and demand unrealistic things from you. They expect you to pick up the slack when they fail to staff their departments (wanting you to stay for HOURS after your shift ends because they didn't schedule anyone else) and they don't know or follow their own policies. I have had to show salaried members of management how to do basic tasks in their job requirements on a regular basis. Some of them have no clue. They have no respect for their associates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn and follow company policies. Compensate your employees better. Hire more associates!! We are severely understaffed. Market management needs to stop announcing when they are visiting a store if they would like to see the way the store is actually run.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
