Overall Dissatisfied

Cashier (Former Employee)
West Jordan, UT

I worked at Walmart part-time for more than a year

ProsConsistent, Friendly Coworkers, Good Training

ConsUnprofessional, Fast-paced, Overwhelming, Dirty Environment, Unappreciative Customers

Advice to Senior ManagementSome advice for upper management would be to keep an eye out for lower management/zone managers. Sometimes they don't necessarily do their jobs well or actually manage their employees. Also, the Walmart I worked at was extremely understaffed and led to disgruntled customers and worn down employees. The employees are also rarely thanked or appreciated for the work they do and the services they provide. Being a cashier, I understand that my job wasn't necessarily the most demanding, but I think standing for 6-8 hours and having to put up with a lot from angry customers while still maintaining a good attitude should be rewarded with at least a simple "thank you."

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
