I worked at Walmart part-time for less than a year

Pros

You have a lot of chances to move up in the company, you can be trained for any position.

Cons

It all comes down to how much management cares about their employees.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention to what's going on with the people under you. I was fired, not told why, and then two weeks later had a cashier I didn't KNOW tell my MOTHER why I was fired. (Called in to stay home with my sick infant.) It's inappropriate and rude.

I have been working at Walmart full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The prices are good and you can usually always find what you looking for

    Cons

The amount of work that is expected of you far outweighs the amount of compensation that is given. The entire management team's overall ethics and how they go about day to day things is in serious need of reworking.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    start caring more
