From a Former Associate

Store Management (Former Employee)
Branson, MO

ProsUndoubtedly, the people/associates who work in the stores are truly the heart of this company. Having worked in nearly a dozen different stores, it was always the associates that kept me going back to work each day.

ConsLack of commitment of upper echelon management to the associates. Though salary is a major concern for most in today's economy, most would also take less if they received more fair and consistent treatment from management.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet off your high horse...if you came up through the ranks, remember where you came from and who really got you there....stop believing in your own ego, and remember that the people who got you where you are today, are not any less by virtue of your position...

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

My experience at Walmart OK because it was steady work near home and I liked working in retail sales.

    Floor/Maintenance Associate (Former Employee)
    Pocahontas, AR

I worked at Walmart part-time for more than 3 years

Pros: It is a big corporation with lots of different opportunities… Cons: I didn't think saw my potential and I couldn't get… Advice to Senior Management: At the one store I worked there was a disconnect between Managers and Associates that saddened me and I'm sure it's something that you are… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More
