I have been working at Walmart full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible work environment, allowed to wear jeans, able to participate in community service activities.

    Cons

Management is stuck in 1980 and need to change. Few listen to new ideas and ways to do things. Corporate is run like a "good ole boy" organization by promoting people on relationships and who you know not what you know. Bases evaluations on perceptions that may be discriminatory and one sided.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay us more, improve benefits, staff for the workload. Be willing to change to become more innovative. Promote people based on their documented achievements not on who you know.
