Pros

Intern program exposes you to every aspect of running and managing a store. It also involves projects, fun events, and corporate seminars. You get to hear from higher ups on their experience and advice

Cons

A little unstructured. Other interns at other stores complained they were dismissed or brushed off by their store managers. Also computer based training was extremely tedious.

Advice to Management

More structure. I would involve more focus on/time spent shadowing with management.

My experience with this company has been an eye opener to how poorly associates are treated.

    Pros

At the Assistant Manager level and above pay begins to become reasonable. However at any time your work load and work hours can change making the pay feel inadequate.

    Cons

Lack of respect for the individual. Even though the company is built on the foundation of helping people save money and live better that goal does not carry over to its employees. There is very little respect for personal time and the importance of your family.

    Advice to Management

Provide more positive recognition and feeback to your Assistant Managers who keep the stores successful and do all the hard work.
