Pros

Went from part time associate to department manager in less than three months.

Cons

I was left to fend for myself as a new manager and new hires are paid the same as people who have been there for years

Advice to Management

Have someone in charge who is willing to train and mentor.

    Pros

Forty hour work week. Hectic environment . Never a dull moment. Constantly meeting new people via revolving door.

    Cons

    micro mgmt|severely underpaid|transparent retaliation|limited opportunity to advance|shady mgmt|unrealistic production expectations|slave driving|

    Advice to Management

Set your associates up for success. Promote leadership sans the whip, ball, and chains. Give more, take less. Raises are minimal as it is, commission opportunities promote moral, surely your multimillion dollar weeks can spare (at very least) minimal monetary appreciation. Sam Walton is turning in his grave with where you've taken his company.
