I worked at Walmart full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Good Pay and working conditions are safe.

    Cons

Management does not use the employees they have to their potential, is more concerned with trying to make them work the hours they do not want instead of using who is there when they can be there.
As a company they have gone away from customer service and moved to just getting the stuff on the shelves and fast and cheaply as possible. They have done away with so many positions it is almost impossible to get what you need to get done in the time you have leaving no time for extras like customer service.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring back your Dept Managers, they are your strength. They are your best and most accomplished workers.

I have been working at Walmart part-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Ability to advance is unlimited, from the bottom to the top.

    Cons

Obtaining thorough training and consistent management guidelines.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leadership should consider complete training of all Associates, rather than hiring and leaving the Associates to find out how daily work is to be completed.
