I have been working at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get to know the community very well thru WalMart. You will be exposed to everyone in the town from working at this company. And you learn the operations for working at a big retail store like WalMart.

    Cons

It is essential that you be able to work well with all kinds of people. Since you're encountering people from all sorts of backgrounds, both cultural and socioeconomic, you must develop an ability to work smart with others in order to enjoy yourself that much more.

    Advice to Management

I think WalMart does a great job training new recruits. I most certainly felt that way. And the application process is very straightforward, so there is no concern there either.

I worked at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Able to start off although little to no experience Started off in High School and given a job Good staring pay for being teenager, above Federal minimum wage of $7.25 Get to interact with customers Able to take time off ahead of time with little to no issue from managers

    Cons

Many didn't take job seriously, although that comes with any job Not very good leadership

    Advice to Management

Take feedback from the employees and actually take the time to greet the customers, look around and talk with the employees of the stores if nothing else to do.
