I have been working at Walmart full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Upward mobility is great. You do have to do some networking and some politics to get the right people to notice you but if you main goal is to move up then that's the game you have to play.

    Cons

Hours are long. It's retail so its expected. Literally will be your second home. Hard if you have a young family.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Seems its never enough. The upper level management seems to always want you to work miracles. They need a reality check and think back to how it is in a store and its daily functionality. Depending on the situation or the variables it takes time to make change happen for the good of the company down at the store level.
