I have been working at Walmart

Pros

Wal-Mart offers a lot of opportunities for advancement. You can start out at the very bottom and work your way up to Store Manager.

Cons

The only problem with that is if you are not a brown noser you will not go up very fast. They have a bad absenteeism policy. They do not accept notes from Doctors in any form. No excused absences. Sometime things happen and you need the extra support and you wont get it there.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention to their emploees. A lot of them need to be more sensative to their employees needs.

    I worked at Walmart

    Pros

Advancement and trainging. Different set of rules where ever you go. District Managers never consistant or the same. They all have their own rules.

    Cons

Long hours. Treat the help one way but you are treated worse. In other words do as I say not as I do. Manager does not have to live in store.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at where the company is going with your help of managment. Upper management wants one thing and treat store management another way. Things need to be consistent but never will.
