Good company, but Wichita area managers are very difficult and do not think outside the box.

I have been working at Walmart

    Pros

A lot of work hours. A plus for me.
    %10 discount

    Cons

    Too much micromanagement.
Look. Their not the antichrist or anything. But if you go to a local Walmart store and look around you'll notice that none of the employees there look happy.
The company is fine. The lifestyle that they promote, however, is quite a bit on the oppressive style.
If you need a job fast, go apply there. Theyll give you a job.
Just don't let the place bring you down. It's just a job.
    Don't take it completely seriously.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None. They are not the reason why things are the way they are.

I have been working at Walmart

    Pros

    Friendly people
    Decent pay (no cashier experience)
Store Manager easy to get along with
    Decent training
Opportunity for advancement is available at the store I'm at

    Cons

CBL modules too long, not enough emphasis placed on actual job too much on how to clean up a spill (can we say common sense)
The direct line to Personnel is never answered by anyone in Personnel

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I just started working here so I haven't been able to take an accurate pulse of the company just yet.

    No opinion of CEO
