I have been working at Walmart eCommerce full-time for more than a year

Pros

Pay and benefits - okay. Good climate within a team. Supportive environment. Nice office. Comfortable cubicles. Majority of fellow Indians. Average work-life balance (which is good considering the company size).

Cons

Very limited opportunities to develop new skills. Insufficient to non-existent in-house trainings or setups to share technical knowledge. Hard to find any spare time to learn something new on your own - never ending backlog of boring repetitive tasks. Feeling that every day working here means loosing your market value.
Inconvenient/restricted internet access/vpn. Chaos in intranet: very hard to find a tool you need.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encourage employees to share their experience with juniors. Host tech meetups.

Career Development: People got promoted without Transparency
Empowerment: there is no such name called empowerment there
Crazy Innovation: Heard the craziest thing in the industry that accounts have to be forced to use Agile

I have been working at Walmart eCommerce full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good comp (if you work in WalmartLabs)
Flexibility and work life balance - half of my team rolls in around (or after) 11am

I have about 10 hours of real work every week, and my manager doesn't seem to notice or care. This could be a pro or con, depending on what you want out of your career. In previous jobs, this kind of apathy would have driven me nuts, but I've accepted things for what they are for now and am figuring out what I want to do in my next opportunity.

    Cons

    Terrible health insurance
Over-promoted, unexperienced employees from acquisitions (WalmartLabs)
Some bad hiring decisions despite bar-raisers (quantity over quality)
    No sense of career direction

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
