Corporate as all get-out, marketing-driven, no measurements, just old-school media mill

Pros

- learned a lot about how traditional media companies are attempting to be relevant online - was able to play a key role in managing creative resources and leading a few initiatives - given opportunities to take on more work - social atmosphere

Cons

- extremely political - cliquey - trivial material (entertainment) - Burbank

Advice to Management

Well, many people are happy with the way things are, although most of those I've spoken with are overworked. It's an extremely hierarchical organization, but I don't think there's any way around this for Disney.

    Pros

Great company; amazing brand, phenomenal products, talented people and zero work/life balance or support. You are often tapped to work on projects above and beyond your job that end up being cool but then there is your day job too.

    Cons

underresourced leaders don't listen zero work/life balance or support good luck getting headcount; you get funding before headcount

    Advice to Management

listen change hire more for talent than for job descriptions

    Pros

Great Benefits and access to the theme parks. Lots of resources for personal growth. Many different careers available from housekeeping to horticulture, if you want to totally change careers you can stay with the same company.

    Cons

The company is very big and it takes a lot of politics to get things done. They are very slow to adapt and keep up with technology. The company doesn't seem to keep salaries inline with the industry and tries to use the benefits to make up for this.
