I worked at Walter P. Moore and Associates full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Experienced professionals work there that have the ability to develop young engineers. Efficient methods of design have already been established so there is no need to start each project or computation from scratch.

    Cons

The experienced professionals have ZERO time to train engineers. The company is currently loosing money monthly on development projects in the civil sector. For having such a nice office and a name well known in engineering, their base pay is extremely low. The bonuses are a joke. No profit sharing. The lack of technical projects taken on (none) develop engineers in to civil servants who email and answer calls all day. I left due to extreme boredom. 30+ hours of office time a week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take some time to train engineers. Take on more technical projects so you aren't grading a parking lot over and over.
