Parts of the organization have real problems - the HR department is notoriously bad.

Pros

Many of the long term employees are dedicated and decent people. There are opportunities to help other employees and gain a broader perspective.

Cons

Silo communication, management contempt for employees. Some parts of the organization (such as Engineering, HR, Acquisition, MBE) are very "can't do" places.

    Pros

Stable, very little stress, great benefits.

    Cons

If you are looking to move forward in your career DO NOT take an entry-level position with hopes of getting promoted. Promotion opportunities are limited because most people tend to stay around for a long time.

    Advice to Management

    Put your employeese first.
