It was okay, great entry-level postion

Assistant Controller (Former Employee)
Humble, TX

I worked at Waste Connections full-time for more than a year

Pros-Great learning experience
-High visibility to upper management
-Opportunities for growth

Cons-Salary not on par to market in primary markets
-Stress on being "people person" than hard working
-Primarily located in secondary markets

Advice to Senior ManagementThere's too much emphasis on movement for growth opportunities. It leads on unsettled lives and general unhappiness.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

A lot of Nice People Work Here

Administrative (Former Employee)

I worked at Waste Connections full-time for more than 5 years

Pros: Honestly - everyone is really nice and down to earth. Can be flexible with work hours depending on what job you hold.… Cons: Managers are treated like royalty and they are usually young. A lot of money is spent on keeping managers happy… Advice to Senior Management: Realize how valuable your employees are. They work just as hard as your managers do and in some cases keep the department working. … Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More
