I worked at Waste Management full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The pay was decent for an entry level position, you stay busy most of the day & is a relaxed environment.

    Cons

Scalehouse can get really congested, customers get irritated with the wait, poor communication between shifts, scheduling was a constant battle.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Better training.

I worked at Waste Management full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some of the people I worked were great.

    Cons

The promises they make are worthless. They kept jerking me around on my hours. The management never takes the time to say 'good job'. I specifically heard my supervisor say 'everyone's replaceable.' They tell you to do A and write you up when you fail to think on your own to do B. I've seen a revolving door here with new employees since I started a year ago. If you wanna take up drinking on a daily basis, go ahead and work here. If not, stay away from the Nashville landfill 'Southern Services."

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat the people on the ground floor like they actually matter to the company and stop being so concerned with the bottom line. Oh and hire some management personnel that actually know how to treat and motivate their employees and maybe you'll hang on to some for more than 3mos.
