I have been working at Watson Pharmaceuticals

Pros

Salary is decent; conforms to recognized standards.

Cons

No consideration for work/home life balance. The site leadership team is not proactive. Always a day late and a dollar short when it comes to resources. No overlaying of resources and timelines. Site leadership makes no distinction between duration and effort when managing their most important resource…people. The worst place to be in the Watson organization is middle management.

I have been working at Watson Pharmaceuticals

    Pros

Time off and benefits package are exceptional. There are opportunities to grow, but management will hold you back through inner office politics.
The Corona site is the only large pharma company in the inland empire.

    Cons

Pay is extremely below industry standard. Even after a so-called "salary restructure" salary is still low.
Long unappreciated working hours, forced to work weekends with no compensation (not even lunch to say thank you for 6 days of work!!!!!!!)
Chemist/Scientist work until testing is completed.
    Management is 8-5 without fail.
Structure of lab is very poor, Senior Chemist/reviewers do minimal work, while ChemI/II take the grunt of the workload.
No matrix's are performed on quantity of lab workload, increase production without additional staffing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

IF YOU GET 30% MORE PRODUCT, YOU NEED 30% MORE STAFF. YOU DO NOT WORK YOUR CURRENT STAFF 30% MORE WITHOUT COMPENSATION!!!!

Look at what you "experienced" & higher paid scientist are doing? Are you getting you money's worth?

Develop some matrix's for testing, workload, quantity of product.

Mr. Bisaro should stop focusing on the bottom line and focus on his people.
