I have been working at Wawa full-time for more than a year

Pros

the pay is pretty good and as long as you show your a good worker you can get lots of hours

Cons

the same as the pro with the hours if your a good worker youll be pickin g up the slack for the lazy ass's

    I have been working at Wawa full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - policy's are for efficiency
    - will invest for succees
    - hours if hard worker
    - very low skill base work
    - pay is little above avg
    - willing to give rewards for good workers
    -always can get in touch with gm
    - flexible hours

    Cons

    - every store is different specifically gas vs legacy
    - FAVORITISM dont expect to any movement with out
    - lack comradery
    - hard workers get most pay load of work
    - management have lack of leadership skills
    - very low in morale and management does little for this
    -hours jump base on sales
    - hours of work will jump if not stern with them
    - management gets moved (location) a lot
    - unreliable workers
    - refuse to give overtime
    - work is mundane
    - lop slide skill in shifts
    - will have to work in cold environment
    - management does not lead my example
    - rewards are little and unsatisfying
    - high turn over rate

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    management needs to balance positive and negative enforcement. corporate needs to have better skill on picking people with leadership abilities. Favoritism is always going to be a problem but it should not over look hard work, I see poor worker getting put in to leadership roles every day!!! people need more then good job, people need to know there working towards something promotions rewards and others.

    I have been working at Wawa as a contractor for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Good work ethics and friendly work atmosphere.

    Cons

    Too much good coffee. Will have to drink coffee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    IT management needs to better recognize IT Resource Skills. Disorganized utilization of IT knowledge will force all talented individuals to leave. Or worse perform inadequately.

    Certain IT skills are earned by experience and interest. And interest cannot be achieved with the uncertainty of the path forward.

    There exists a lack of proper Architectural directions and methods for implementation of all IT solutions. Everyone in the company realizes it , but does not act on it.

    Hope this reaches the ears of the right people.
    I am not venting , just trying to help friends in the company advance in their careers.
