I have been working at Wayfair as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Wayfair loves to promote from within and offers all jobs internally before releasing them for outside hires. Wayfair does an excellent job at promoting employee bonding and creates a great work/life balance through departmental outings and quarterly parties.

    Cons

Wayfair salaries unless in engineering are on the lower end. They utilize interns in nearly every department which can be seen as a cost saving mechanism or a benefit as they do hire many interns after graduation.

I have been working at Wayfair full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

You will get a lot of hands on experience. Friendly hard working people, stocked snack room. Lots of opportunities to network among 1000+ employees. A ton of interest groups to join if you know where to find then.

    Cons

Not much skill and career development happening here. Hard to find mentors, harder to find people who will go to bat for you. If you're here for longer than a year they're getting more out of it than you are. Work culture is characterized by the pressure to work overtime - for below market appropriate salaries.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in the little people who are building the company up. Maybe there wouldn't be so much turnover and they would stay a while.
