    Small firm

I have been working at Weaver

    Pros

Offers a good balance between work and life depending on the department. Travel is local since the firm is based out of Texas.

    Cons

The compensation is far below salaries offered by competitors. Since the firm is smaller, you take the risk of getting stuck with a bad manager, and not being able to transfer out to a different project.

  2.

    Great regional public accounting firm

I have been working at Weaver full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Exposure to wide array of industries
    Work closely with partners
Lots of growth in company and room for individual career growth
Great work life balance, clients/partners are less demanding of your time than in big 4, can actually have a life outside of work. Busy season is manageable.

    Cons

Health insurance is very expensive, the coverage is good, and premiums are reasonable if you are sinlge, but if you have a spouse/family, the monthly premium is very high.
