I worked at Weaver full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Good company that stresses worklife balance. Relaxed atmoshere. Many great people to learn from.

Cons

Understaffed - which most public accounting firms are. Not great at providing employees with a career map.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide employees with a growth plan and expected advancements.

I have been working at Weaver as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

Very friendly, very friendly. Laid back, and the people are wonderful.

    Cons

"Bean counter" decisions per IT, they're not making wise decisions about proactive IT investment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You can't run a shop your size without custom software,off-the-shelf alone won't work, contract only personnel are not vested vs.full-timers, raise the bar per *competing* with IT, there's more to it than just infrastructure/support.
