Current Employee - Web Developer in Atlanta, GA
Current Employee - Web Developer in Atlanta, GA

I have been working at WebMD Health full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

- Talented people
- Employees are great (excluding leadership)
- recognized and respected brand
- somewhat flexible

Cons

- Lack of real leadership
- Company politics dominate the business (decreasing stocks paint the picture)
- Lots of empty promises to employee with no growth
- Most competent individuals are usually always on the bottom of the totem pole and the most incompetent are the leaders and management
- Seen the company nose dive tremendously, mainly due to what majority of other reviews point out.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in the individuals that created the brand (employees), if you don't wake up especially after this huge drop, you will lose the market share and lots of good people that drive the brand. Management doesn't needs to update their mentality and understand to plan for the future and not plan backwards

I have been working at WebMD Health full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Young and fun employees with a good work ethic.

    Cons

Speaking strictly about the Medscape (Professional) side of the business: The business lacks established and efficient processes to successfully function. As a result mistakes happen all the time and the goal is to hide the mistake from the client and point fingers internally instead of finding the root of the problem and solving it on a larger scale. Many departments are also lacking sufficient human resources, forcing people to be overloaded and rush through their work, sacrificing quality for quantity.
