I have been working at Weber Shandwick

    Pros

Big name accounts to work on
    Motivated and interested colleagues
    International travel opportunities
    Lots of professional development

    Cons

    Inconsistent promotions across teams
Pay is consistently less than other Global PR Companies
Very top-heavy - lays off scores of working, lower-level employees while maintaining unproductive senior staff

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reconsider reluctance to lay off senior-level staff. They are largely unproductive in producing new income. Consider increasing working-level employee salaries to industry-standard levels.

I have been working at Weber Shandwick

    Pros

Diverse clients, great benefits, intelligent and motivated colleagues, respected reputation within the industry, flexible time off, good learning environment, high expectations

    Cons

Compensation does not equal the stress and long hours junior staff members dedicate. Often workloads are unbalanced and those who produce quickly are given larger workloads than those who do not, without any recognition. Loyal employees who stay with the company are taken for granted. Those who jump around and come back are paid much more than those who are trying to build a career within the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Junior staff are the future senior staff...it would be wise to treat those with talent and a desire to grow within the company with a fraction of the respect senior staff members receive.
