Weight Watchers – “just another engineer

Weight Watchers Engineer in New York, NY:   (Current Employee)

Pros

People at WW are very nice. Most of them are very smart and present to work with. Also, they are outgoing and relationship sometimes exceeds just work environment. There is a free drinking night every month, and number of sport leagues that one can join. Offices are very nice. Overall, it is quiet on the floor. Not many people walking around. Most of the communication is done by emails.

Cons

I will keep it short. Long hours are expected from you. I received emails stating that I cannot go home until something is done. It seems that entire office is pissed off at each other. Outrages project schedules. Money is so-so, getting a raise is close to impossible. They don’t like people who work from home. But all that is standard. The worse thing about this place is micro management. I have like 6 managers. Each one most concern with me sitting at my desk on time then with actual project. I don’t even think that they know what exactly I am doing here or what I am capable of. This place reminds me of that movie: “the office”.

Advice to Senior Management

Try to keep the morals up.
