    I worked at WellPoint full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Ability to work from home, good education in house, great nurses and leads. Decent pay and benefits. The exception is the health insurance options. The employees should receive the option of the highest and best insurance coverage.

    Cons

    Micro-managed, downsizing, poor rating system on job performance, only beneficial to people who want education and assistance with managing illness. Quantity is more important than quality. It didn't use to be this way. use to be disability friendly but company doesn't work with disabled issues for workers as much as they should. Glorified telemarketers. Poor communication from management. To many non pertinent e-mails.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Let nurses be nurses and decide what is most pertinent for the patient needs and concerns. Not your numbers. Allow employees to take breaks as needed without setting break times. Nurses schedule calls and should be able to schedule breaks and lunch in order to reach the clients.

    1. Comprehensive interview
    2. Team work stressed
    3. Work to the fullest extent of your capabilities and interest

    Cons

    1. Large organization that may take longer to make decisions
    2. Very careful in deliberations with risk averse being a large consideration
    3. Business organizations makes coordination of strategy a bit more complex
