Pros

WellPoint is positioned to lead the healthcare industry in making changes to improve healthcare for all of us. If being part of an industry leader is important to you, then this is a good place to work. The industry is very complex with multiple opportunities for talented people to contribute, from entry level roles to MBA's and Pharm D's. There are many challenging roles and opportunites to make a difference. I have enjoyed working at WellPoint for over 12 years and have had the opportunity to work in different areas. You make your own career path here by working hard, raising your hand for assignments and doing a good job.

Cons

Like any large company, it will take as much of you as you are willing to give. Therefore, it is important to set your own boundaries for a balanced life or you may find yourself overworked. However, good perfomers can easily set those lines and if you perform they are respected from management, even from the executive level.
