I have been working at WellPoint full-time (less than an year)

Pros

Being fresh out of college, I was obviously nervous about my first job. But Wellpoint, my team were extremely welcoming. I learned a lot, still learning a lot ( Health Insurance field is an ocean of knowledge) . The team encouraged me, mentored me, and pushed me to do my best.

Cons

Connecticut, is not really a jolly place for a fresher. Besides the place, I don't see any cons.

I worked at WellPoint full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits - 401K, health and dental coverage, on site gym, on site cafeteria, secure parking, college tution reimbursement, flexible hours, work at home opportunities

    Cons

While located in many states, some of the states have little or no advancement opportunites. Some management still work on old school methods while the company on a whole is trying to be progressive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure all management levels are on board with changes. Encourage all departments to work with each other instead of looking at their own area's bottom line. Big picture is important.
