WellPoint Manager, Care:   (Current Employee)

Pros

I would have to say that the pay and benefits are excellent. Most of the associates are hard-working and team players.

Managers have the opportunity to be flexible with schedules.

Cons

It's difficult to find jobs in other departments. Once you are in a area, it's hard to learn and develop in other departments to have the ability to move up the ladder.

While vacation and medical benefits are good, it's still difficult for work life balance. Managers work through their lunches, come in early and stay late. What happened to a 40 hour work week.

Advice to Senior Management

Work together with other departments to have cross-training opportunities with associates. It will improve associate moral and offer many opportunites across the business.
