I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Used to be a great place to work. Used to have great benefits. Used to value it's older employees.

Cons

Health benefits offered not great. If someone doesn't do well in the company they promote them to management instead of training them properly or simply firing them.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Go back to the old ways when you used to value your employees, they are the back bone of your company. You're losing some great people because you're not willing to treat them fairly.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The retirement plan is excellent with a six percent match rate, the free and discounted banking services are awesome, there's tons of opportunities to move up if you work hard- and experience is often seen as more important than education. Employees are recognized for their achievements frequently.

    Cons

Working in bank branches can be stressful sometimes because of high sales expectations and some employees might feel border-line mirco managed. On occassion, promotions can be made for political reasons or given to people who have lots of sales but less practical knowledge and experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There should be better and more efficient ways to communicating intradepartmentally.Employee's jobs are often so specialized that it can be difficult to give customers clear answers.
