I have been working at Wells Fargo as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

Wells Fargo has a great reputaion. Integrity is one word I would use to describe them.

    Cons

Managers are not empowered to make decisions. The good old boy system seems to be the management style.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take better care of your frontline. Empower your people to do the jobs that you hired them for.

I worked at Wells Fargo part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

They had great benefits! I worked there for several years and had five weeks of PTO, health insurance and 401K. There is room to move up in the company, IF you can sell...

    Cons

Even in an entry level position as a teller, you are expected to do sales. Be prepared to be under extreme pressure to get more than the minimum required sales quotas. It doesn't matter if you are an excellent teller (balancing your money, loss prevention, customer service, etc)---if you can't sell to people, your job will be in jeopardy. You can't even move up in the company if you cannot sell a credit card or savings account to someone with 5 bucks their name. Good luck with that.

In over 5 years of working there, I barely got a dollar raise.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sales are something that should be left to the personal bankers. Tellers already have a lot of responsibility on their plates. They should not have to do their job PLUS the bankers' jobs too.
