I worked at Wells Fargo part-time (more than an year)

Pros

Huge company with many promotion opportunities. You can move up quickly if you're a hard worker and a good learner. As a teller they want you to sell and also provide good customer service.

Cons

The customer service bonus is based only on your store's performance, regardless of how you do as an individual, so in my 2 yrs & 2 mo there, I never even heard of anyone I worked with ever getting that bonus.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase pay to increase retention at the branch level. Many regular customers are sick of high turnover due to low pay.

Former Employee - Intern in Duluth, MN
Former Employee - Intern in Duluth, MN

I worked at Wells Fargo as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Very self-driven, you have the opportunity to voice what you'd like to get out of the internship. Very fit-based interview, so everyone seems to work very well together. People are very willing to help tech interns about their work in any area of the company.
Given a week of PTO as an intern.

    Cons

If you don't speak up about what you'd like to do, you'll get pigeon-holed into things you may not like. Internship doesn't necessarily give you an advantage when applying for full-time jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't change a thing. The self-driven nature of the job allows interns to get the best experience for them.
