Pros

Very good, understanding, work environment. Would run another contract with them again in their internal tech help desk.

Cons

Too big into stats, not enough into quality in my opinion.

    Pros

You can advance quickly if you drink the company kool-aid and are willing to do some very unscrupulous things in the constant chase for solutions.

    Cons

Everything. The sales pressure is insurmountable, the daily (yes daily) sales goals are unrealistically high and the attitude is "do whatever it takes to get your solutions". The majority of employees are unhappy and the majority of bankers come in to work everyday worried about their job security. And lastly, the incentive compensation program with Wells is a joke, the absolute worst in the industry.

Please, if you listen to anything I say i strongly advise that you look elsewhere if you are looking for a career in banking. There are other companies with much more sensible sales goals, less sales pressure, much better and more frequent payouts in regards to bonus, and most importantly they incentivize the RIGHT things which result in clean sales and actual banking.

    Advice to Management

stop focusing on solutions, start focusing on deposit validation, lending and new acquisitions.

Game the system until you're promoted

    Pros

The benefits package is very good, 6% match on the 401(k), good healthcare options. They do tuition reimbursement and promote from within.

    Cons

Everything else. In the Retail Banking world, you're incentivized to be dishonest to the customer by selling on half-truths and out-right lies. The more you sell, the faster you're promoted. The faster you're promoted, the faster you lose your soul. Used car salespeople get a bad rap but they're nothing compared to your local Wells Fargo Personal Banker; especially if they have more than 6 months of tenure. Don't touch this company with a 10-foot pole!

    Advice to Management

Foster an environment that promotes unity and ethics. Eliminate the insipid WOW! requirement and make it so when a customer gives you a 4 out of 5, it isn't the same as getting a 0 out of 5. Hold your employees to a higher standard of ethics and actually crack down hard on those that fail to adhere; rather than just providing lip service and doing nothing (they usually get promoted). There are many more, it's just too much to type!
