Pros

Run it like you own it attitude. Opportunities to make significant impacts to the business. Had the opportunity to learn, build my career and build a great team. Committed to providing a great customer experience.

Cons

Culture has changed since Wachovia acquisition. Not as innovative and more political. The company is so big but they are still trying to operate like a mid-sized one. They won't necessarily mandate certain systems or processes which would help customers, employees and shareholders.

Advice to Management

Executive management is good at communicating but line of business execs are not.

    Pros

Great benefit, and strength of the organization for keeping the Brand for over 160 years.

    Cons

Ridiculous sales pressure and wow process can drive anybody to the brink of insanity. Against the Vison & Values, the team members often feel disposable.

    Advice to Management

Dont just recite the vision and values, rather, live it and contemplate on how to take care of Team members better.

  2. Heavy Sales Pressure, No Respect Given

    Pros

Good benefits, decent pay. Looks good on your resume, and you don't have to be smart to work here, because I've seen Wells Fargo hire some of the dumbest people I have ever met.

    Cons

Heavy sales pressure, de-humanizing customer service requirements, under-qualified management. Management measures employee success based solely on sales numbers; actual operational and leadership successes are not taken into account when measuring performance.

    Advice to Management

Employees lack motivation to work hard when you treat them like robots or inferiors. Also, just because a banker is good at sales does NOT make them a good manager or leader. Every manager I have had was great at sales, but had no business managing or leading others.
