    Pros

it's relatively easy to get hired

    Cons

its a sales job, you are trying to sell banking products to people who already have it. Managers try and make you go above and beyond so people can open more accounts and get more debit cards. There's alot of stuff that happens that managers know about but don't speak on until it comes back to bite them in the ass

    Pros

Rarely will you find yourself working more than 40 hours . Able to visit nearby business to recruit accounts for commission while being paid for your salary.

    Cons

It is nearly impossible to make commission. You are not given any power. For example, you need to ask for permission to open checking account, savings accounts or any other accounts . You must see your manager to get these items in which he then question you about the whole conversation you had with the client to make sure "no sales opportunities were missed". You are required to fill out a form about the client, which is not a quick process, and you are rated by how much of the form you fill out and for how many people. As for growth opportunity , As a Personal Banker 1 you need to work your butt off , and still not make commission, to be picked by the a higher executive to choose to pay to get your series 55 and 57 to get promoted to personal banker 2 for about five thousand extra dollars . Oh I forgot the best part , people don't trust banks nowadays so of course your going to have a facade of rude customers!
