I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (less than an year)

Pros

The Pay and benefits were good, depending on the department some of the co-workers were okay.

Cons

SALE SALE SALE is understandable, however how are we supposed to sell anything if we're to busy dealing with people who are coming in for us to fix problems that other wells fargo members gave them.

Employees there treated the environment like it was a high school

    Pros

    Great 401k
Able to get your licenses if you are able to do well
Great place to get sales exp.

    Cons

Upper management will keep you in the same position in order to benefit themselves rather then help you move up.
Wells Fargo preaches a certain culture about taking care of the culture, but insist you push product on top of them even if they are happy currently.
Force you to harass your friends and family
Goals are sometimes outrageous based on your banks area, but you are still required to produce as much as another branch.
Very under paid for all the work you're required to do

One of the big banks where you are inconsequential. Keep your head down and work, you will will never produce enough.

    Pros

Guaranteed paycheck, structured HR policy to protect you from unscrupulous managers. On average, people were nice, I just happened to have a manager that cared nothing about his employees, he cared about numbers.

    Cons

WF hired 900 people and we were told we were going to be trained for our jobs, and although we attended a "training course"....training was quite an impressive spread btw, we were not taught how to do our jobs. So we are all put on the floor not having a clue how to do our jobs, unless we had experience, which many did not. Maybe they hired 900 people but they started firing people immediately. If you are late...you're gone, its only a matter of time.

You are pressured to produce outrageous numbers. Opening unnecessary account's, selling unnecessary products in order to increase numbers and achieve goal.

How can we achieve our goals if we don't know how to do our jobs?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Shift the focus from money to people, the money will follow the people.
