I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Management leaves you alone because they don't really care and don't have good ideas to drive business. They are employees not leaders. Every team meeting is identical, and it is impossible to get complex deals done.

    Cons

Management is lacking in ideas. They have more dead wood than any company out there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Shed some layers. Promote from within and stop the cronyism.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

You see how much people make and spend. The mystique of working at a bank branch is lifted. Occasionally help someone with a problem and brighten their day.

    Cons

Wells Fargo is blindly focused on opening as many checking accounts as humanly possible. Period. That includes you, your friends, family, strangers, people in debt, who cares. Nothing else matters. Open an account. Lots of them. Period. That seems obvious but every feature of their business forces people away.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend an entire week at your worst branches to get a first hand look at why your service and sales models are broken. Staff retention, policies and procedures set you up for failure.
