Numbers, Sales, Duplicate Products. Do what's best for the manager, not branch or client.

Personal Banker (Current Employee) Eatontown, NJ

ProsCompetitive pay when compared to some of the smaller banks but about on par with its larger competition.

ConsAsked about numbers on hourly basis by Branch Management and Regional Management. Only way to hit daily and quarterly bonuses is to have 200% on normal sales goal, clients are opened multiple accounts without their knowledge, instead of upgrading or downgrading, new accounts are opened for client. Clients told to switch direct deposit, automatic payments. If you don't hit 150% of your goal daily, you will stay for hours at a time after work without notice in order to cold call. Management only cares about their hourly numbers, not where they come from, whether they are funded, and definitely not about the best interested of consumer.

Advice to Senior ManagementSet realistic goals and concentrate on quality not quantity. Do what's best for the customer and most problems will get solved.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
