Former Employee - Teller in Gainesville, FL

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Competitive benefits, never having to work late, lots of free programs and online learning modules to improve skills, all major holidays are off and paid

Cons

Slow to be promoted, very scripted, not very flexible in hours, lots of regulations, managers are very much into micro-managing, incredibly high and often unreasonable sales goals

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The sales goals of some stores should be adjusted accordingly, and tellers working drive-through should be held to a lower sales standard.

Current Employee - Personal Banker in Atlanta, GA

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Friendly people to work with. Industry leading reputation. Decent support network from managers when needed. Most managers (DM's and above) have positive attitudes about work and production. Wells actively promotes from within - lots of opportunities.

    Cons

Incentive goals are set above what most bankers achieve. Incentive pay schedule is poor. Cost of living pay increases are non existent, let alone a real raise. Managers micro manage.
Some managers don't know how to manage (don't have management skills)
