A Wells Fargo Teller is a stressful position but a good building block.

I have been working at Wells Fargo

    Pros

The pay is apparently better than other major banks' tellers, as per others who have worked in those places. There are discounts for a wide variety of things including good discounts with wireless carriers. It's not a dirty job: you can dress pro' casual and really nicely if you choose. There is student reimbursement available also: 2500/year for part time and 5000/year for full time.

    Cons

This position is stressful. Unfortunately people are rude and ignorant and you just have to take it from them. There is some considerable sales pressure and you really are just hustling accounts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think ethics really need to be addressed in the retail branches. There is too much hustling customers who do not need half the things they are "persuaded" into taking. Later on they are unhappy and disgruntled with the bank. Integrity would go a lot further.
