Pros

My General Manager was awesome, but that varies from location to location.

Cons

You pretty much work with the scum of society. There are some great people that work there, but it's about 2-3 per store.

Advice to Management

Don't just hire desperate people off the street with poor hygiene and worse customer service. Also, do not try to copy every other rapid-service company out there. Be Wendy's! Don't add wraps because McDonald's did, or different salads because somebody else did. Please, just find an identity and stick with it for a while instead of playing catch up.

    Pros

A lot of hours, fast paced, made the time go by.

    Cons

Unappreciated, no recognition for hard work, high turnover rate, no employee discount, low pay, stressful, little benefits. Most of the people that work there are in high school, so the majority of the time all they do is just stand around goofing off, so you're stuck not only doing your job, but everyone else's job on top of that.

    Advice to Management

The worst time to work was when the district manager and franchise owner would pay a visit. The entire time they would be there, they did nothing but cut down the employees and constantly threaten anyone's job if they didn't do exactly what they said. The really hard workers received absolutely no recognition for anything they did. They later installed cameras which they used to spy on employees and didn't hesitate to call the general manager any time they saw something worthy of firing someone for. Most new employees would quit after only a week of working there. It's not right when a company allows upper management to walk all over it's employees and have the employees fear them. Upper management really needs to learn that without the little people, their business would cease to exist.
