I have been working at Western Dental Services full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Not the fanciest of places to work, but if you're new it's a good place to start - you see a large number of patients to hone your skills and get your experience. Office culture really depends on which office you are at, varies greatly on your managing doctor. Training is minimal but occasionally there are paid for CE courses that are great. Never had an issue with requesting time off.

Cons

Base pay is pretty standard.. you make your money in commission - which means you push yourself to work through some breaks/lunches sometimes.
Must work Saturdays

I have been working at Western Dental Services full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

growing business. might have a lot of opportunity in the future, the company is expaning, a lot of dental offices opening.

    Cons

overwork, under paid. unethical senior managers. senior managers have affair working with each other and nothing happen. no leadership.

a lot of policy that does not make sense. new travel policy does not allowed to expense breakfast, lunch, or dinner if not travel overnight. what happen if managers need me travel all days long. if i don't travel, i don't spend money eating outside food. but because my manager ask me to travel, i need to spend money eating outside food. This is just too cheap. if the company expects employees to travel for business, at least pay for lunch. limit of lunch is $20, breakfast is $16, dinner is $30. Will senior managers like Vice Presensident spend only $20 on lunch? most of the policies are violated by senior level managers. so instead of discipline those who violated and took advance of the system, the Company punished all employees.

pay increase is super low, example less than 50 cent for a year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

respect your employees, don't expect your employees to follow policies that managers do not follow.
