Pros

Flexibility, work from home possibilities, great environment, wonderful people

Cons

Salary % cap on promotions, no set salaries for position, no salary structure, you can make more being hired on off the street than you can promoted from internal

Advice to Management

HR needs to re-vamp the salary structure so that two people in the same position are making comparable salaries

    Pros

Working from home is what keeps most employees working for WGU

    Cons

Very numbers oriented. They are quick to put someone on probation if there numbers drop below a certain level. 1 out of every 3 people who have a tenure of 3 years or more is on probation. Prior to the 3 year mark it is easy to keep your numbers high. But as your good students graduate and your percentage of good students shrinks your numbers get worse even for the best student mentor. If you want a job for 2 to 3 years WGU is the place to go, but longer than that management will make your job more difficult and stressful.

    Advice to Management

Don't be so quick to discipline your employees. Especially if they have done a great job in the past, their numbers do not indicate that they have reduced their effort level, or skill level, or amount they care about their students.

    Pros

It is ok work enough. There is growth and stuff. Work is work and thereis stuff and stuff to do. Each day is quite full.'

    Cons

Normal challenges with about any type run of the mill corporate job. Work to do and enough of for all and keeps coming.

    Advice to Management

Just keep on going along and getting stuff done that needs to be done. There is always enough to do and not bad there. Things move on and on.
