The company is going through a centralization phase - all roads lead to Denver.

Sunrise, FL

Current Employee – been working at Western Union

ProsStrong market position, company association does open doors, esp. in pursuit of a JV or marketing program.

ConsOver reliance on agents to do work, plus company is in the middle of a centralization kick (as of June 2010). Consider: when you have to approve a $1000 trip for business reasons, management appears distrustful.
If you're going to work for Western Union, make sure you are in Denver or have a clear path to a position there if considering a career. Company does not innovate well, seems to prefer buying innovation.

Advice to Senior ManagementUse some of that available cash to actually invest in new technologies, and don't be afraid of agents. Consider decentralizing decision making.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
