I worked at Western Union

Pros

Co-workers, work is not overly difficult, Western Union looks good on a resume.

Cons

No adequate HR support at department level; no opportunities for advancement or career pathing; bad employees were left to continue to harrass others and not addressed or removed from situation; lack of qualified managers in place. If you could breath and had friends in high places, you were promoted.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get with the program and take care of your good employees. Otherwise, you will continue to spend money replacing them.

I have been working at Western Union

    Pros

Great, dynamic Leadership that's totally connected with employees. Management consistently makes the effort to go the extra mile recognizing and encouraging employees at all levels and creating "extras" like a health and wellness fair.

There are a lot of just plain good people - smart, hardworking individuals who genuinely care about each other.

    Cons

Somewhat limited opportunities for growth unless you are willing to move to global headquarters in Denver (brrr...). Also, there's a tremendous amount of work involved and a bit of a workaholic culture.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the great work!
