Advice to ManagementAdvice

doing a good job so far as in performance evaluation and feedback. Incentive to work hard is based on the position and passion of the employees, not a monetary value.

I have been working at Western Washington University

    Pros

I believe that WWU is a good academic institution that is devoted to intellectual development and research opportunities for both its students and its employees. The employees are provided with great benefits, a great health and wellness program, and transparent administration. The institution prioritizes quality teaching while still providing a quality research environment.

    Cons

Too many professors are being asked to teach heavy loads since many of the adjuncts have lost their jobs and open faculty lines have been eliminated when professors retire. My position has been reduced to half-time to save money because of the tough economic times. Everyone is working harder in these lean economic times.
